hey there
Hello! My name is Amber Gannon. I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Certified Personal Trainer
My
Story

My Background is in health and wellness as well as Occupational Therapy. I am a wife, a girl mom, a follower of Jesus, a mountain biker, and a work in progress on my own health journey.I worked in OT for 13 years with home health being the primary setting. During that experience, I completed a lot of chart reviews and dealt in direct patient care. I noticed the pattern that most patients were on the same, or at least the same type, of medications. The majority dealt with similar issues related to those medications and the side effects. Rarely did the meds actually bring someone into balance. I poured myself into trying to help them get better and stronger, and in some cases (ortho cases) they did, but for the most part, I knew I’d be seeing them again in a few months even though they were stronger once we finished. I enjoyed going into homes and growing close with them and their families, but watching the endless cycle grew tiresome and troubling to me. Their quality of life that revolved around the next MD visit or getting to the pharmacy was not enjoyable or meaningful. I knew that God was calling me to something else. In the mean time, I was beginning to study how to improve my own health.

I was overweight, uncomfortable, had no energy, struggling with depression, and suffering from headaches most every afternoon and some were causing nausea and vomiting. Our oldest daughter also struggled with headaches, to which we finally pinpointed a red food dye allergy. As we began implementing some changes in our diets and habits, I began to see big improvements in all of my issues as well as changes in her. This spurned me on to continue to learn. Along with some book recommendations from a friend and cycling coach as well as holistic Chiropractic care from an amazingly smart And God fearing practitioner that has helped me see that health care and food the way that is accepted and normal in this culture is not supporting our bodies and causing disease that is occurring earlier and earlier each generation. I began to see that what we put into our bodies, on our bodies, and lifestyle practices in general play a much deeper role than is given credit. In 2020, I set out to become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC). The more I study health, the more I can see the closer we stick to the way the Creator God design our nourishment and lifestyle to be, the higher degree of health we can achieve. As an INHC, I strive to educate and share this understanding as I meet people wherever they are in their journey, help them break their goals into manageable steps, blast through barriers to success, and reach beyond the traditional understanding of a basic diagnosis to set goals that reflect actual healing and instead of only symptom management.
